Inner-city apartment building, Auckland (New Zealand case study)
The example below is from a New Zealand building.At a recent install at an inner-city building, the electricity meters were actually installed in the individual apartments. This arrangement made it a logistical headache to organise the apartment meter read every month, with the result that the apartment owners' power consumption was rarely physically read.
Smart Metering simply installed our Smart Pulse unit wired to the pulse output of the existing electricity meter. With this arrangement the daily power consumption of the apartments is remotely uploaded to our cloud-based platform.
