The problem
Minnie Street had a variety of different water meter manufacturers and models. Many were very old and producing inaccurate meter reads, and reads were taken manually every one or two months.
What we did
Smart Metering replaced all the existing meters with the latest ultrasonic smart water meters. With no moving parts, these meters measure water usage far more accurately than traditional analogue meters, and they automatically send two meter reads a day to the billing platform.
The outcome
Residents at Minnie Street can log on to Smart Metering's customer platform and see highly detailed water meter usage with open and transparent billing.
