The problem
The electricity meters in this inner-city building were installed inside the individual apartments. That made it a logistical headache to organise the apartment meter read every month, with the result that apartment owners' power consumption was rarely physically read.
What we did
Smart Metering installed a Smart Pulse unit wired to the pulse output of the existing electricity meter, so the daily power consumption of the apartments is uploaded remotely to the cloud-based platform.
The outcome
Total power consumption reports and billing can now be organised simply from the central office over any selected period.
